This was what I drew on paint and it's quite ugly. Please ignore the plasticine... It's a little out of shape. But let's take it as the plasticine is spreaded equally around the pendulum.

Anyway, Mr Lim asked us today where is the center of gravity on the pendulum, and my answer is that the gravity on both the pendulums above are in the middle. As said in the previous post, if we just balance the object using a string or an edge, the point at which the object is balanced is the center of gravity.

But for the pendulum with the plasticine, the center of gravity might not be the same, as the plasticine might not be equal, causing some area to be heavier than another.

Okays, please ignore the ugly drawing of mine again. ^^

As for this, the center of gravity has changed, as the plasticine is not around the pendulum, but on top of it. Therefore, we will have to use calculus if we want to find out the center of gravity. But I am guessing that the center of gravity has moved upwards. Okay, for example, if you draw an X in the pendulum(with the plasticine) the point where they meet will be higher up. Well, that's how I am finding where is the center of gravity.
