Parallex Error

A parallex error will be made when your eye is in the wrong position for viewing.

If the ruler is laid flat, the foil's edge is at 1.9cm whil another will be 2.4cm. But if the ruler is turned up, the parallex error will be gone as the edge of the foil shows the exact reading.
